When you treat hepatitis B patients (e Ag + or -) with entecavir, you may still find a positive viral load after 48 weeks of treatment.  As long as it’s <1,000 IU/mL, don’t give up!  A recent study shows that the vast majority of nucleoside analog-naive patients with a partial response at year 1 achieved undetectable HBV DNA through prolonged therapy, without the need for treatment adaptation.  For more specifics, click on the link below:
