The Sunday Chronicles

Jerry McKearney, splenectomized during his recent ABO incompatible transplant and severely immunosuppressed, was distraught after he learned he could not return to work as shell-polisher in the Reptile House.  He was told the risk of salmonella infection was too high.  Said McKearney, “These are tortoises, not turtles.  Show me the literature on tortoises!”
