Definition: small duct PSC

Small duct PSC is a recognized variant of the more common condition of PSC (a large and medium caliber stricturing pathology of the biliary tree).  Unlike PSC it is diagnosed by biopsy, and should be suspected when the clinical scenario and laboratory profile are suspicious for PSC, but MRCP or ERCP are found normal.
